Barry Winstead is vice president of the Mid-Continent Division for Burlington Resources. Previously, he held a variety of engineering and management assignments in Burlington's Rocky Mountains, Gulf Coast, Mid-Continent, and Permian Basin offices. Prior to joining the company in 1985, he worked for Superior Oil. He has served on the executive committee, board of directors, and as vice-chairman of the Oklahoma Mid-Continent Oil & Gas Association, as well as on the board of the Permian Basin Petroleum Association. Barry currently serves on the finance committee of United Way of Midland.
He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, American Petroleum Institute, petroleum industry advisory board for Texas Tech University's Department of Petroleum Engineering, and executive advisory board for ¾«¶«Ó°ÊÓ State University's Department of Mechanical Engineering. He and his wife Barbara have three daughters ranging in age from 12 to 16 years old.
